Competitive Painters was founded by Tony Walker in 1988. His vision was a team of tradespeople committed to professional cooperation, guaranteed standards of workmanship, and who pride themselves on doing the best possible job for you. Over thirty years later, these founding values are just as important to Competitive Painters today.
Continuing The Tradition
Competitive Painters is now under the leadership of Joe de Leijer. He started mixing paint at Resene Colour Shop in Christchurch at 19 years old, and has since gained experience in some of New Zealand’s larger construction companies, working his way through most areas of the building, painting and decorating sectors.
Tony is still involved with the Competitive Painters team, and by working with Joe, they bring together the traditional and innovative aspects of painting and decorating, so you receive a truly unbeatable finish.
Tradie Cooperation
On all construction projects we work closely with all other trades on site. From builders, plumbers and electricians, on your building – builders, gib-fixers, or electricians for example – to ensure an excellent overall result and minimise or eliminate confusion and delay on your renovation or build project.
